Applegate River, Oregon

Description: Applegate and the Illinois River are tributaries to the Rogue River. The Applegate meets the Rogue about 5 miles west of Grants Pass, Oregon. The river is west of Grants Pass on Hwy.99.The river can also be accessed off Hwy.238.There is a good run of winter steelhead. There are also rainbow trout. There is camping east of the community of Applegate about a mile past where the river crosses Hwy. 238.

This area of southern Oregon has a mild climate and a lot to do when it comes to enjoying the oudoors. Homes are priced very well for most buyers with a large range to choose from. Of course, homes on the river run higher but there are still some good buys.
